These Terms & Conditions explain how Design Tree works with clients. The specific scope, fees and schedule for your project will be set out in your proposal or project agreement.
Our Services
Design Tree provides interior design and related project services. The services included in your project will be confirmed in writing before work begins.
Consultation and Proposal
We begin by discussing your requirements, preferences, budget and project site. Following this discussion, we may provide a proposal or quotation describing the scope of work, estimated timeline and fees. A consultation or enquiry does not confirm a project booking.
Project Confirmation
Your project is confirmed when you accept the proposal or agreement and make any agreed initial payment. Work will proceed according to the approved scope and payment schedule.
Design Approvals and Changes
We will share designs, selections or plans for your review at the relevant stages. Once you approve a stage, later changes may require additional time and fees. We will discuss the effect of a requested change with you before carrying it out.
Pricing and Payments
Your proposal or agreement will state the project fees, payment stages and applicable taxes. Work outside the agreed scope will be quoted separately. Payments are due according to the agreed schedule.
Project Timeline
We will provide an estimated timeline for your project. The schedule may change due to delayed approvals, changes in scope, material availability, site conditions or other circumstances affecting the work. We will keep you informed of significant changes.
Your Responsibilities
You are responsible for providing accurate project information, making decisions and approvals in a timely manner, and arranging reasonable site access when needed. You are also responsible for any permissions or approvals identified as your responsibility in the project agreement.
Materials and Finishes
Material samples and design visuals show the intended appearance of your space. Natural variations, lighting and manufacturing differences may affect the final appearance of colours and finishes. We will confirm the selected materials as part of the approval process.
Completion and Handover
We will review the completed work with you at handover. Please notify us of any items that need attention during the walkthrough so they can be recorded and addressed in accordance with your project agreement.
Cancellation, Warranty and Aftercare
Any cancellation terms, applicable product or workmanship warranties, and aftercare arrangements will be stated in your project agreement. No warranty period is implied unless it has been expressly confirmed in writing.
